It is the policy of SMASH INTERNATIONAL to conduct all operational activities for which it is responsible in a manner that provides safe working conditions and minimises the risk of injury or ill health to all employees and other relevant persons which the project may impact. All company operations will be conducted to protect the Environment and prevent Environmental incidents and accidents. This reflected in our “Zero Accident and Incident” program where “Safety is everybody’s responsibility”.
SMASH INTERNATIONAL shall institute such system and procedures, reflective of current recognised practice that ensures compliance with the provisions of all applicable legislation. It is also recognised that health and safety contributes to project performance and to this regard continual improvement is achieved through the implementation of robust monitoring and review processes. As such we will set objectives and targets that will aim to continually raising the Project HSE performance through information, instruction, training and supervision.
The HSE management system will enable SMASH INTERNATIONAL to meet or exceed the requirements in the Labour and Environmental laws and regulations of the Government, specific project requirements and international Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental best practices.
The management will continuously monitor and improve operations, procedures, technologies with regard to the effectiveness and sustainability of the welfare of project personnel and the protection of the environment. We encourage and promote benchmarking on HSE matters, recognise and reward HSE milestones, advertisements and committed to constant HSE vigilance. Our operational policy is “Do not pass by an unsafe act or condition….React and rectify immediately”.
